FEED MY STARVING CHILDREN EVENT

Feed My Starving Children – MobilePack is Coming! Church of Our Saviour volunteers have been involved in the Fond du Lac MobilePack since its inception, providing funds and volunteer hours.

During this one-day event at the Fond du Lac Fairgrounds, we hope to reach our goals:

  • Pack 171,072 meals

  • Raise $41,057

  • Recruit 900 volunteers

Everyone, ages 5 and up, is encouraged to help pack meals for starving children.  It’s fun and very rewarding!  If you aren’t familiar with how a MobilePack works or how it distributes the food to starving children throughout the world, please check the FMSC.org website to read more about the food packs, the distribution, and who is helped.  Or, ask any of our members who have volunteered in the past.

Please mark your calendars and plan to be an active part of this year’s MobilePack:

January 19th – “Have a Heart”– community-wide fundraising campaign

  • We will provide donation envelopes and answer questions beginning on January 19th.Our event website is currently ready for your donations at http://bit.ly/FDLFMSC2020.  This year’s Fond du Lac MobilePack number is #2003-028SC. All donations must have this number so it will apply to our MobilePack.

February 28th – Sign-up goes live

  • You can sign up yourself, your whole family and/or friends when you sign up on-line

  • Or, if you don’t use a computer, you can give Sue Schierstedt your registration information in the weeks before February 28.

March 27th – Set-up for event

  • Join volunteers to setup the building with tables, and prepare equipment and boxes for the pack.

March 28th – PACK!

  • Work with a team of volunteers to add protein, vegetables and vitamins to the package; weigh it to be sure it’s the right size; seal the pack; and box the packs for shipment.  We receive excellent training to ensure an efficient and healthy assembly.

If you have any questions about the pack or how to get involved, ask Sue Schierstedt, rstedt@charter.net.
