Adult Classes and Study Groups

The learning does not stop at confirmation. During the education hour (9:15 to 10:15 a.m.), the InTouch Adult forum hour meets in the church parlor. Topics are varied, with guest speakers, films and study leaders. We cover the social, biblical and theological issues of our times. The Social Ministry takes on four of the Sundays throughout the year in order to explore issues that affect our community and world today. This is a fun group that not only learns and grows...but also manages to have fun in fellowship as we stay InTouch with our faith, our church family and the community beyond. Pour yourself a coffee, pull up a seat and join us between services.

Small Group Ministries are another strong and growing area within our church family. We have met both in the church and within each others homes to share in small group studies where we get to know one another better and grow in our faith. Some successful studies included the reading of The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren, an in depth study of the book of Acts and Reclaiming the "L" word by Kelly Fryer, which ultimately resulted in our congregation establishing the 5 core values known as J.E.W.E.L. We are encouraged to meet together on our own to study scripture and other materials available to anyone who desires to take their faith to a new level.

A lay person-led Bible study group meets on the 3rd Monday of each month at 10:30 a.m., prior to the XYZ potlucks. The Tabitha and Lydia WELCA circles also include Bible study at their monthly meetings.
